Splash with Moxie Java 2010

On Monday, July 26, 120 Boys & Girls Club members will splash the day away at Roaring Springs Waterpark thanks to Moxie Java patrons who purchased summer drinks to make it possible.  For many, it will be their first visit ever.

In a first of its kind partnership, Roaring Springs and Moxie Java teamed up to send deserving youth to Roaring Springs Water Park. The local community can help fund these trips in three ways through Labor Day:

  1. Moxie Java will donate $1 for any of three Summer Splasher drinks sold.
  2. Roaring Springs will donate $1 for each discounted waterpark ticket purchased at Moxie Java locations.
  3. Moxie Java will donate proceeds each time a Splash with Moxie Java water bottle is purchased.

For some kids, a day at the water park is the most extraordinary experience they’ll have all summer.

“Times are tough for our Members now, and we’ve seen that the first thing to be cut from a family budget is entertainment,” said Jason Sears, Operations Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Ada County.  “For many youth, enjoying a day at a waterpark is just what they need to help cope with stressful home environments.  Still, other kids have never had the opportunity to play in a waterpark.”

On Monday July 26, kids from the Nampa, Mountain Home and Ontario Boys & Girls Clubs enjoyed Roaring Springs.  The next “Splash with Moxie Java” trip to Roaring Springs is planned for Aug 2 & 9.

Roaring Springs & Moxie Java would like to thank media sponsor KIZN.

Military

Moxie Java® supplied fresh brewed coffee to the Idaho National Guard’s 1-183rd Aviation Battalion and their friends and family as part of a breakfast/send off ceremony. The 1-183rd Cavalry division flies and supports the U.S. Army’s potent 16 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.

The 1-183rd Aviation Battalion’s primary wartime mission is to provide battlefield commanders with highly maneuverable, highly lethal airborne assets to support ground operations. The Apache conducts precision strikes against fixed and moving targets, and provides armed reconnaissance in all types of conditions.

(I’m on the left and the other Marine is Cpl. Tyler Blauvelt, another Starbucks fan turned Moxie Java Fan!!)

“Thank you so very much for the Coffee, it has arrived in country to us (very quickly) and my Marines are very impressed!!! We have an “old” Marine who swears by his Starbucks and we told him we had “new” coffee for him to try, he was hesitant at first but after his first cup he said it was “the best tasting, best smelling, and the most satisfying coffee I’ve tasted”. He’s from The East Coast and never heard of Moxie Java. I gave everyone the internet site info. I’m gonna take 2 of the packages and give it to the chow-hall so they can brew a few pots for breakfast tomorrow. Can’t wait ’till I get back home and enjoy the atmosphere of a Moxie Java cafe’. Take care and God Bless. ”
