Moxie Java Concept

Moxie Java®, your neighborhood coffee house, opened its first café to the residents of Boise, Idaho in 1988, over 22 years ago. This original location is in an area called Old Boise, which today still characterizes its 1890’s roots. Located on Boise’s historic Main Street, the original café was created by blending passion and knowledge of coffee with experiences in food service operations. People who experienced the original Moxie Java Café were enamored with its appeal and soon began enquiring as to how they too could partner with us and share the dream. Moxie Java® started franchising its concept and providing quality coffees to others.

The Moxie Java Kiosk concept is the smallest footprint concept. It features all of our gourmet multi-seasonal  coffee beverages, our signature Moxie Java Moxaccinos™  and our healthy 100% crushed fruit Breezas™. A small variety of our quality bakery items is offered with this concept.

Our Moxie Java Espresso Café concept is the core to the Moxie Java® system. It features a wonderful variety of multi-seasonal beverages including our artisan roasted espresso and brewed coffees  roasted with a unique fluid bed air-roasting system in small batches. Along with our multi-seasonal gourmet coffee beverages, we offer specialty hot and cold tea drinks, signature frozen blended beverages, (such as our own Moxie Java Moxaccinos™), our 100% crushed fruit Breezas™ and many quality and healthy food choices.  Our morning guests will enjoy our special Moxie Java breakfast wraps, quiche and on site Bakery items that are made fresh daily and will compliment our guests coffee. We have added made to order lunch items to include lunch bagels, lunch wraps, soups and salads. The bagel sandwiches and wraps can be tailored to the guests request.

In 2006, Moxie Java International®, LLC launched a new franchise concept – Moxie Java Bistro® – a new Fast Casual concept offering with made to order breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees. This upscale Fast Casual concept is very much in demand by customers wanting better quality food and service at a reasonable price than what Quick Service venues offer. The Moxie Java Bistro® Concept is the only true Coffee – Based Fast Casual Concept in the United States, and with Specialty Coffee being a very strong industry in itself, the addition of the Fast Casual day part menu items makes a perfect Moxie Java Bistro® combination. This concept has all of the breakfast menu the café offers plus many more lunch and dinner menu items made to order. They include gourmet Panini sandwiches, croissant sandwiches, a variety of salads, soups, Stromboli, calzones and gelato, Italian ice cream.

Today the expansion of the Moxie Java®  café and bistro network continues to strengthen the Moxie Java® brand providing a powerful  network, fortifying purchasing power, lowering operating costs and increasing the return on investment of each local Moxie Java® franchisee.
