Cold temperatures and very cold water weren’t enough to keep away a record amount of people for The Great Polar Bear Challenge which raised over $38,000 for The Make-a-Wish Foundation of Idaho this year and the donations keep coming in. We were there with hot chocolate and coffee to help warm the participants as they got out of the water.
The challenge is simple: in freezing temperatures, take a plunge in the reservoir and Moxie Java will be there with hot chocolate and coffee as you get out of the water. For an event-record 337 people (many dressed in ridiculous costumes), it was, ‘challenge accepted.’
